Job Summary |
Graduate Assistantship Overview Elmhurst University welcomes applications for a graduate assistantship in Student Support Services and Intervention for the 2024-2025 academic year, which is eligible for renewal for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a student position. Interested applicants will need to submit an application for admission into a degree seeking graduate program at elmhurst.edu/graduatestudies and be accepted before becoming eligible for consideration for a graduate assistant position that correlates with their area of study. Graduate assistants at Elmhurst University may be hired for a full tuition waiver based on 20 hours of service per week. Graduate assistants will also receive a stipend while they are working, paid bi-weekly, in support of their continued education. Graduate assistants will participate in their assistantships during the Fall and Spring terms at minimum and may be required to participate during January and/or Summer terms.
Eligible Graduate Programs: M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership, M.S.Ed. in Special Education, M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or M.B.A. with a specialization in Management of People.
Weekly Hours: 20
Tuition Waiver: Full Stipend: $9,000 for academic year, September-December and February-May Terms: Fall, Spring
Special Notation: Offers for this position are conditional upon acceptance into one of the above noted graduate programs at Elmhurst University. Graduate students must maintain full-time enrollment in their graduate program in order to maintain a graduate assistantship. Nature of Work The Graduate Assistant for Student Support Services and Intervention is primarily responsible for coordinating services and providing resources, support and referrals for undergraduate students in need. This position is supervised by the Director of Student Support Services and Intervention and works closely with the Student Affairs team on additional projects. |

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements | Employee is typically subject to indoor work, though some outdoor work may be required. Physical activities include repetitive motion and exerting up to 10 pounds of force in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. |
