This is a position with WM Technologies, LLC and affiliate of SPX Enterprises, LLC, which manufactures and sells Weil-McLain branded products. Weil-McLain is a leading North American brand of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings since 1881.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a warehouse administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating all traffic activity for the Weil-McLain operation. This positions accountability is planning, scheduling, maintenance, and management of outbound shipments by carriers as well as inbound coordination. Maintain a consistent flow of material while utilizing resources effectively to contribute to overall profitability of the corporation.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Technical Excellence/Customer Support:
  • Assist other Weil-McLain locations in freight routing, as requested.
  • Communicate with Customer Service to ensure satisfactory shipping/delivery attainment levels.
  • Maintain and manage priority list for all orders on the schedule.
  • Support shipping staging and auditing process.

  1. Information/Communication:
  • Schedule truckload and stop-off truckload shipments, at minimum freight expense, using automated software program to consolidate orders and build truckloads.
  • Improve customer transportation service through selection of routes, carriers, and loading techniques to ensure delivery to customers in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Arrange with carriers to ensure availability of equipment for scheduled loading and delivery.
  • Schedule UPS/FedEx orders as requested for emergency shipments. Cancel & reschedule UPS/FedEx orders for product not available as scheduled.
  • Arrange for transportation of export shipments.

  1. Documentation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Maintain files for required legal period (Freight Bills, Bill of Lading, and related documents).
  • Manage operations incoming inventory and work orders within business system when needed.
  • Will have signing authority for Shipping Receiving Supervisor in their absence.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software focusing on advanced Excel.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of production, inventory processes, order entry and customer service procedures, shipping, and general dock procedures.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process / Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience in ERP systems, J.D. Edwards preferred.
  • Ability to analyze information and react quickly and appropriately.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve positive results.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while addressing prioritization of workload.

Education & Certifications

  • AS degree required, or High School diploma with equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Repetitive keyboard use; continuous use of computer monitor.

Travel & Working Environment

  • Minimum travel may be required. Less than 5%.
  • Workplace is an office/manufacturing environment.
