LSSI is hiring a full-timeClinical Director of Project Impact, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Project IMPACT is a behavioral health crisis program that runs 24/7 in alignment with hospital emergency departments across Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois. Project IMPACT is comprised of crisis teams that engage in a multidisciplinary setting to prioritize patient well-being and assist with the coordination of a safe/appropriate plan of care. Project IMPACT crisis teams conduct onsite and phone intakes for the purpose of triage, evaluation, crisis intervention, disposition, admission, and linkage to resources. Project IMPACT crisis teams complete comprehensive assessments with patients in crisis who may benefit from linkage to various substance use, mental health, and behavioral health services up to and including inpatient hospitalization. Crisis teams operate in a dynamic environment with a wide array of patient presentations across the behavioral health spectrum.
Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Clinical Director leads a team of trained Crisis Counselors. The Clinical Director oversees program operations, including budget management, workflow processes, and supervision of staff.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage the day -to-day operation of Project IMPACT.
  • Ensure compliance and authorization for services.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff 24/7 as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision to assigned full-time staff, as needed and appropriate.
  • Comply with productivity standards, help staff to achieve goals of productivity by providing and/or creating resources with the assistance of the Senior Clinical Director and the Associate Executive Director.
  • Responsible for evaluating and assisting programs achieve financial targets.
  • Establish short-term and long-range goals of the program, including developing program improvement plans when necessary.
  • Develop policies, systems, and procedures of the agency and/or program.
  • Promote and maintain relationships with our key partners, including hospital and community agencies, funding bodies, and other providers.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of program services in relationship to their objectives and costs.
  • Work in collaboration with the management team and/or other departments, programs and networks on programmatic, fiscal, community and organizational issues.
  • Develop, implement, and be accountable for program/department budget.
  • Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records as required by law, local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Define and maintain staffing requirements; appoint, lead, supervise, assign responsibilities to, evaluate, and coordinate activities of assigned staff.
  • May provide direct services or perform some of the same duties as assigned staff when there are coverage needs.
  • Responsible for recruitment, selection, assignment, training, supervision, evaluation and recognition of staff.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to culture differences present in the agency's service population.
  • Complete and monitor peer reviews and QI reports quarterly.
  • Communicate with staff to ensure that documentation is completed in a timely manner and that services are ready in Carelogic to process for billing by managing failed activities and failed claims. Interact with staff as needed to get documentation completed.
  • Monitor and maintain the staff workload and schedule 24/7.
  • Manage and monitor the authorization process to secure payment for services provided while making sure all failed activities are cleared in timely manner.
  • Be available 24/7 to support staff for any communication needed to run program.
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of weekly reports, monthly statistics, and quarterly utilization reports.
  • Maintain Communication with ED staff to run operation and inform Senior Clinical Director and Associate Executive Director of any changes.
  • Ensure staff complies with documentation standards for CL including concurrent documentation.
  • Monitor and resolve failed activities and failed claims at least weekly.
  • Monitor and supervise any safety concerns.
  • Monitor maintenance of physical environment and electronic equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety of the environment.
  • Monitor the quality of client interventions.
  • Maintain and monitor regularly scheduled staff meetings (at least monthly) and communicate with the Senior Clinical Director and the Associate Executive Director if any training or resources are needed.
  • Monitor and ensure all clinicians licenses, if applicable, are updated.
  • Maintain and oversee the policy and procedure manual and ensure manual is on-site and available to staff.
  • Monitor and complete 90-day and annual evaluation.
  • Provide Carelogic Troubleshooting as needed.
  • Work in collaboration with the management team and/or other department, programs and networks on programmatic, fiscal, community and organizational issues.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSl workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in mental or behavioral health-related field.
  • Licensure in mental/behavioral health field preferred but not required. Examples: LSW/LCSW, LPC/LCPC, CADC, etc.
  • Preferred three-years of experience working within the mental/behavioral health field conducting interventions such as: therapy/counseling, crisis intervention, case management, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with various levels of professionals and clients.
  • Strong clinical skills including empathy, compassion, ability to build rapport, etc.
  • Familiarity with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, V Edition.
  • Good judgment with sensitive, ambiguous and/or contradictory input.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities, in the face of complexity and ambiguity.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Ability to complete financial assessments and contribute to achieving financial goals preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
